Hi, I'm Hazwan.

I like taking a model out of a notebook and turning it into something people use. My final year project went from labelling road images to a deployed app for citizens, admins and contractors.

Outside code, I do photography, poster design and video editing, which I did for my residential college's media team.

I'm looking for roles in software engineering, intelligent systems (AI, computer vision, IoT), data analytics and creative tech like 3D programming, in the Klang Valley.

Problem

Road damage is found through slow manual checks and scattered complaints, and every report is verified by hand before repairs start.

What I built

  • A YOLOv8 detector trained on Malaysian roads, with augmentation for rain, shade and glare
  • A React PWA to report hazards with a photo and GPS, no sign-up
  • An admin dashboard where corrections retrain the model
  • A contractor portal that closes the repair loop

When I peek a site, where is the enemy most likely to be? I wanted real match data instead of gut feel.

How it works

  • Pulls ranked match data from the HenrikDev API
  • Python maps every player's position onto the minimap and turns it into heatmaps
  • Filter by map, rank, side, agent and round phase

A Flutter product catalog built for technical assessment.

The brief

List products from a REST API with detail pages, search, pagination, and clear loading, empty and error states.

What I did

  • Infinite scroll, pull-to-refresh, image gallery and debounced search
  • Typed Dart models over the DummyJSON API
  • One sealed state class with Provider, so the UI is never in a mixed state

Smart Drainage Pipe Monitor

An IoT prototype that catches drain blockages early. A Maker Feather S3 (ESP32-S3) reads ultrasonic and flow sensors, sounds a buzzer and LEDs on site, and streams readings to a live web dashboard.

Status turns yellow at a partial blockage and red when critical. Built with Iqmal Aidid.

A Tableau dashboard that checks whether sales are actually profitable, with filters that update every view.

Main finding: furniture brings in high revenue but almost no profit, while technology has the best margins.

Software Engineering Intern

MIMOS Berhad, Kuala Lumpur

Took a legacy PHP inventory system from a server and network tracker to a full asset management system, end to end.

  • Designed and built two new modules from scratch, for staff devices (EUC) and software licences, including database schemas, audit trails and assignment history
  • Added role-based access for five admin roles and reorganised 650+ device records from location-based to category-based
  • Prototyped the workflows in Figma and built the dashboards, device lists and forms with jQuery and Bootstrap
  • Wrote the UAT test scripts and led testing with four admin groups, fixing the issues they raised
  • Deployed from local XAMPP to the test server, and wrote the user manual and architecture diagram

  • Made sure every design was approved by the college leadership before its deadline
